Why not go after the 7310?
I know I said a 620P but in reality I don't need one. I have plenty of saws to pick from.
My current line up is;
Dolmar 510. Muffler mod and 10 degree advance.
Echo CS670. Ported by Alan.
Husqvarna 390XP. Ported by Alan.
As you can see I'm taken care of as far as size of wood I could possibly get into.
The reason I chose the 620P is because it's in the 60cc class (I know, so is the 670 at 67cc). IMHO a good 60cc saw will do 90-95% of what I would get into if I only had a one saw plan. Generally, they're light enough to run comfortably all day and they have enough power to tackle bar length diameter stuff. I know Echo basically has 3 in the 60cc range. The 590, the 600 and the 620. I just chose the 620 because it's the Caddilac of the three. Plus I've personally seen an Alan ported 620P in action. As I stated earlier, I don't need one but I'd still like to have one just because Alan touched it. No other reason.

Also needs clutch springs, small ‘E’ clip in the brake linkage and a chain catcher.

We will likely find more. [emoji20]

I got one..
The rifle will shoot.. that’s a savage trigger..

You “may” have to throw the glass in the trash..

If it’s good, you’re good.. and $500 well spent.
If not, who cares.. put a Burris or leupold on it and still got a bargain.

Is a 6.5 like a .243 on steroids?

Not that it matters, but I agree, not without a kiln
I'm certainly no expert but I think I've read somewhere that if naturally dried about 15% or a little higher is all they'll get to. Somewhere around the 10% Mark is the ideal spot.
Then again, does the 10% goal even matter that much? I doubt kilns were even thought of 100-200 years ago and look at the quality of furniture made back then.
