I’ve got one tank thru my new 572 so far. Seems to be doing real well. Curious to see how well it does after break in.

I don’t have a 572..
That saw is just a little old 562.. it was the Jonny on the spot when I needed to mount the 36” bar, so it got it,. Lol..

Yes I just sent my 562 cylinder to be replated. Can’t wait to get it back. Air leak got it.

So, after 6 months of not owning a saw. I started shopping around a bit. Seems like all the Husky dealers around here have packed it in. Much as it hurts to say, I might have to buy into the dark side. Not really sure I can do that.

Last I was in Race Brothers they were tearing down the Husky wing too. Don't know if it was to reset or remove. I'm in the odd position of having no parts or spares or anything. Maybe something with an actual dealer network/parts availability would be nice for a change. All just speculation till I crack open the wallet.

They expanded the husky area in Carthage, so probably did the same in springburg..
Though I’ve not been in there since the city overlords decided to make mask wearing mandatory..
They can *f-word off... I’ve not spent a cent in Springfield since April..

We loaded up Ely’s pickup with ash yesterday..

It was so full, he was losing splits in the field on the way up to the barn..
Haven’t measured it, but it made quite the pile..

Ran the new to me WM LT-30 today and milled some walnut. Now we need to get it all banded and on the shelf for drying. Much more to go but we made a dent. Started with the small stuff.

The one in the forefront is 16’ long. Mostly 9/4 true width boards.

Oh my why leave them 16 ft. Even with equipe they are hard to move. I have some 20ft walnut logs sitting out back. They are getting cut down. Longer means heavier! Hope your new to you mill has a hydraulic turner.

I slabbed a big fresh ash log the other day and the middle was already 25% moisture. If that log sat 2 years it should be really low on moisture.
What’s my target to start assembly of a table?
I will use a biscuit cutter And assemble it in sections with glue.

The farm table is going to be 12-14', at 16' it leave him lots of room to cut out end splits and chose his grain.

The mill has the log deck package which has manual toe boards and a manual winch operated log turner, it made turning the 16' 24" wide log easy.
