Pretty...
The 2 nd band I tried was doing much better, then broke and took out my drive belt..
The problem isn’t the hardness of the logs.Wish you would have posted that earlier.
It looks good . I got tired of standing around the auction and left. The problem isn’t the hardness of the logs.
Plenty of moisture in there..
It’s the irregular growth.
You can’t get the centers lined up end to end..
And the weird twisty *s-word in them will play hell with your band and the way it tracks. Put a band on there with more “set” to it’s teeth, and was able to mitigate the problem.
It probably went for $1000 15 minutes after ya left.It looks good . I got tired of standing around the auction and left.

I hate auctions anymore.. they expect you to come and waste a whole *frenching day for the honor of being out bid by the auctioneer somewhere around 4:30 in the afternoon..
Fired up the mill..
Cut up a hedge log..
Note:
Don’t mill hedge and expect it to save you money...
Mill is waiting for a part now...

That saw horse was made for Matt or Chet.Had a good time at the tractor show today.
Really enjoyed watching @sawnami cut with his fuel injected Disston.
We sure do have it nice with our modern machinery and technology!
Sorry to hear that the part you need is out of stock since so many have failed recently. OH wait , just speculation, from toooo much of my experiences. Good luckFired up the mill..

The machine shop I used to work at sent the blades for their horizontal band saw out to get rewelded & sharpened after they broke. I am unsure of where they sent them but I can have my wife check if you want. She is the office manager.Kenneth was referring to the machine to sharpen and set the teeth on a band. Made 2 auctions before noon today. Bout 15-20 minutes apart. Bought 1st item at 1st auction. No more items of interest, 3 items at 2nd auction for total out of pocket less than $30. There are auctioneers who have shills like you said. Don't go to number two once that shows. It probably went for $1000 15 minutes after ya left.
