Kyle, just drove through your area yesterday for the 4th time. I was informed that there are at least 14 more trips on that route coming up. The only thing is that it's either very early in the morning or very late at night when I'm passing through.
I see that they're starting to pick cotton.

Late at night is fine with me.

I have been working in the Sikeston area as well.
The cooler weather really slowed the bolls from opening.
I have two gin startups scheduled for next week, and then another the week after...

Plant from an outside row I knocked over with the tractor..
it was a pretty robust one, so I pulled it up and brought it in the house and counted the pods..
I came up with 128
Lisa counted 136
Someone explain how that’s even possible considering we’ve had no rain in 1.5 months??

Those look really good. Drought tolerance in soybeans has progressed a lot in the last 10-15 years.

The big question is the size of the bean?

We could use a rain to put some moisture back into the beans. Last load yesterday for the neighbor were 9.2%, my brother said the farm he finished up last night we’re 7.1%. Today is supposed to be 85 & windy. That should suck the sap out of everything.

According to the scales on the carts for my neighbor his beans are about 72bu/a. They are a very small bean, very tall plants & lots of pods.

Now fog and dew have been quite common this year,.

Combined with the deep tillage and I think you have your answer. In some parts of the world, fog and dew is the primary source of moisture for plant life.

I may have fertilized the field for you too, I can't remember :)

Beans don't need that kind of fertilizer:2guns::2guns::2guns::2guns::angel2::angel2::angel2:
