Spent the day working on my truck. A couple of weeks ago I found the heater core was leaking. Steam on the windshield and the smell of antifreeze inside the cab. Also figured on changing the injectors that I bought a month back and was waiting on a reasonably nice day.
Accessed the heater core ok. Pulled the drain plug on the radiator to drain the system. Nothing drained out. Radiator is full. Stuck a screwdriver in the drain hole, nothing. Pulled the screwdriver out and it was covered in mud. Looks like the bottom 3 inches, or so, of the radiator was plugged up. Decided it was time for a new radiator. Original was a single core, replaced it with a 2 core.
Got the cooling system in good shape now, decided to change the injectors.
Pulled the upper intake to access the injectors only to discover Ford sold me the wrong injectors. Also found two injectors plugs had been chewed by mice. Having my son take the injectors back, along with an old one for comparison. I just hope the correct ones don't run a lot more.

Cooling system was on my bench this weekend too. 3.8 supercharged grand prix lower intake gaskets. Daughter's boyfriend needed a cheep ride and I volunteered to fix it up. I'll take the dirtyest saw over an oil covered engine. Had to dig the bolt heads out of the filth. The outside of the intake was flooded with oil and antifreeze. Yuck. Had to flush the oil out of the radiator. The operation appears to be a success.

You got more patience than me.

I would have towed it to the back pasture and shot it..

Emma liked the moss on the trees!
Definitely a different world down here in the South. Pine forests everywhere. Can't imagine how much carving I could do with all this pine at a guys disposal!

Spanish moss on spreading oaks are numerous along 90/190 from Slidell, LA thru Gulfport, Ms to Mobile, Al.
Trees spread half again wide as they are tall.

Notice some of the vacant lots along the Mississippi coast left by Camille (1969)?
