Morning gents! Took a little stroll on the beach with the girls this morning. It sure is beautiful down on the water early. Tarin found a little crab while walking around the fort. This is a pretty cool place when ya start to learn the history behind it all. The very first permanent European settlement, the site of the first Catholic Parish church, the first city government, the first port for transatlantic trade and commerce, and the town was the site of the first hospital and tavern!

Morning was going to plant some garden. Might wait a week. Supposed to freeze Sunday.

I have known him just about my whole life. Great family, their shop is about 5 miles from my parents home. Never thought I would see my home town mentioned on OPE.

I was told several folks have asked about food for the weekend. I believe we have everything covered right now. Plans right now are Hamburgers, hotdogs, potato casserole of some kind. We also will have tea, lemonade, water and I will make sure we have some coffee. OH, and HOMEMADE pies. I was told we have running list on here of who is coming, but I am totally new to this thing, so I have not found it yet. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday.

I'm screwed this year guys. I had big plans to go to lots of GTGs. There's just no way I'm up for it though. Doc tells me I'm looking at about 6 months of taking it easy if I want to recover. Welp.......I do want to get better, so I'll be staying on the sidelines this summer.

Just got back from a mini vacation in Eureka Springs. Arrived Sunday and came home today. Had a nice time. We stayed at the Crescent Hotel, determined to be "the most haunted hotel in N. America". Built in 1886 and served as several different things other than a hotel. Very interesting history. Even if you don't stay there it is worth a visit, take one of the "Ghost Tours" to get the history.
