Thanks for the kind words! It is a gift that the Lord blessed me with I have to point it all back to him. Never sculpted anything till 07' . I have honed the gift over the years but never trained in any type of sculpting a day in my life. This piece will have several other birds and critters. It is a tribute to the lady's late husband who had a life long career in the military. He loved eagles. It is a privilege to be able to do these type of pieces.

Did you start out with just a regular ol bar and chain set up or have you used carver set up. And after your done what do you treat the wood with?

Good friend of mine got into pipe carving and I offered up some wood for him including hedge. Here is a hedge pipe that was on the fb page someone showed me.

Here is the pipe that he carved for his daughter and then dyed it! Very cool!

I am gonna give him a variety of stuff including corn cobs and see what he comes up with!
