What's a plan?...lol

Left to my own devices, I'd probably wing it like most things we build, but with a bit more "in my head planning" than usual.

Now that Tom is getting more into the management/planning side of things....we'd definitely come up with a thorough plan.
He's been teaching himself to use a free online drafting program, so that would be used.

Then I know who I’m calling when I decide to build a hip roof barn with a big hayloft.

What is it intended to be? A house? A shop? A house on top of a garage? Whatever you want it to be?

It is very nice; too nice to be a shop; but it might be a she-shed or a doll house for people with enough money. Do you finish something like this out?
It's just something I came across online, nothing definite.....just me complaining about all the "blah" things we get to build, and wanting to make something a bit more brag-worthy.
Anybody can build stick framed metal buildings.... I still enjoy it, but it'd be fun to build something cooler sometimes.....plus I could charge a premium.

Sleeting and thunder.
We've had events like that and nothing good usually comes of it. Hope it's warm enuf soon to get any ice sheet melted fast.

I remember one slush storm in the mid '80's that left the interstates and side roads with deep tire ruts in the ice. It got to cold just after the mess came for road chemicals to do their job, so it took a couple of weeks before things cleared up much.
And then there was a February rain storm about 20yrs. ago when it was -10f. Close to 2"'s of ice that time. Oh the distant memories.

You lucky bastages, our lawns and fields are bare. The frost is going to go deep this year. All we're getting is the lump of coal coldness. And what's this feels like number of -19f suppose to really indicate, when they claim it's -6f?

I guess if I want to continue to give the furnace a siesta, the steptop will be liken 2 sticks instead of 1 when I get ready for a several hour nap.

Apparently the snow stopped flying right after I closed the door last night.

Guessers are still blabbering about it though.

I experienced one of those in North Dakota, talk about ice accumulating quickly. And the slick factor was off the charts with that liquid on top, It was literally a struggle to just stand let alone move around.

I can’t see the public school across 29th street.

Hell, I can’t see the other side of 29th street. 60ft. 💩

On a more pleasant note: Seems I’m unable to sharpen .325” chipper. I’ll have to find a loop of chisel for the MS291 “Truckster”. On
