I waited for the post turkey day sales to buy mine & saved a substantial amount.

So far so good, it takes about 5 minutes to brew a 40oz carafe. I really like the auto off & no hot plate set up.

For the price they want it seems to have a lot of pieces & plastic but I guess the removable parts make it easier to clean. A high percentage of the reviews gave it top marks. It was American’s Test Kitchen winner as well.

I went ahead & bought a reusable filter for it also. You get a few fines with the reusable vs the paper & maybe a bit more flavor with the reusable but nothing substantial.

The stainless arm on top is removable as well.

I will report on it again in a few months.


I can report that the Bone Frog Goat Locker Blend is pretty damn bold in smell & taste, it’s an eye opener just from the smell & taste.

If your getting a fair amount of fines, you might be over extracting the beans which can detract slightly from best flavors.
We slightly increased our grind size until there were almost zero fines with a reusable gold filter, seemed to really smooth out the flavor.
Unless you are one that enjoys a Turkish grind cup of nectar.

That's one I dint order. Did end up with 2# in 8 different flavors we'll see what I prefer

Not a bunch of fines but I could see some in the bottom of my cup. I will try a different setting tomorrow.

The grinder only goes to 15 & I believe it’s on 10-1/2 now.

I have paper filters as well so it’s not a big issue.

Freezing drizzle here at 28 degrees. Just got done unloading two totes from the new pickup, locust split in 2017, and staged next to the garage for easy access. Then covered with roofing rubber. That is in addition to the mostly full tote of white oak and others I unloaded first of the week.

Didn't know that 428 seperate departments of conflicts/confusion are part of Federal government. He has taken on a space travel company and made it more efficient in delivering items to the right spot in orbit and make deliveries to the space station at less cost.
In 1831 100% of federal funding came from tarrifs. No income tax at all. How about that.
We may get back to land of the free rather than regulated
