Grew tired of Folgers Black Silk and tried some ‘artsy’ stuff.

The three on the left (medium roast) are not worth the price despite the hype.

The Folgers is good stuff (med-dark roast) is good stuff, better than Black Silk and lower price. It’s also the ‘reheat champ’ if you value leftover brew like me.

More experimentation to come. 🤞
If your still trying "artsy" roast, Crazy Fox Coffee might have some that you might find tasty. They have several single origin roasts that I wouldn't hesitate to order again. Ans they do offer a wide variety of roasting levels and beans from many areas.
Their shipping is currently a $7 flat rate, to my knowledge their former free shipping option is no longer.

Good morning folks. It is rather frosty here this morning with the ground and roofs having a near total white layer.
It was 28f when coffee was started (@JimBear, I know you would have asked/made a comment ), with a claimed 51f in a few hours.
We had frost this morning as well, not very heavy one though. Tomorrow morning is supposed to be 28*, so that take the green out most of the weeds.

Since we are all fired up on our coffee this is our favorite mass production coffee:

Fresh ground every morning.

It’s not that expensive either.
Am I bad for liking regular old Folgers?

I just add 5 scoops instead of 3..

I believe I will try some of their coffees.

Good evening, Gentlemen!
We arrived in Navojoa, MX on Friday.
It has been 102⁰ every day. It is 8:50pm right now and is dark out, but it is still 90⁰.
Not exactly what I am used to.
We are blessed to be able to rent a house down here, so it is much more comfortable than the camper.
I sure wish we could be there to help cut wood for Rebekah. We got to help her with some other work this year, but did not get to cut any wood for her.

Folgers always had the best taste as far as drip coffee goes. My dad and my father-in-law both started having issues with their stomachs after drinking Folgers, so I decided to quit before I started having problems. We now drink some custom roasted coffee from a Mennonite family in Minnesota. Some friends of ours bring us whole beans in a 10lb bag. It is a good non-bitter coffee.

For a smooth medium roast this has been our go-to for a couple of years.
It's fairly reasonable (comparably speaking) when Costco has it in stock.
We grind just large enuf that there's very few if any fines in a brewed pot, when filtered in a gold reusable filter.
We do have a conical burr grinder, so no spice grinder here. It gives us a fairly consistent sized ground coffee.
