Got the first full sized tomato of our '24 season.
Had a few cherry toms already, we have 4 varieties of them in the ground this year.
BLT's are in our future.

His first bunch all had black on the bottom of the fruits.
What causes that? Figured you would have seen it before.
Take a look at bottom end rot photo's. If that's the right Idea, garden lime and pulverized eggshells. 1/4 cup lime(max) to start with and rake into soil near stalk. Lightly water to dissolve lime just a little.Levi planted a couple tomato plants this year.

Yup..Take a look at bottom end rot photo's. If that's the right Idea, garden lime and pulverized eggshells. 1/4 cup lime(max) to start with and rake into soil near stalk. Lightly water to dissolve lime just a little.
If the soil is and has been very wet, back off on watering to about 1/2 as much. There's other stuffs possible as well. But a good place to start. Could also be soil ph is to high.
Look at what the university extensions have to say. It's where I've had the better luck with following their recommendations !Yup..
