On the subject of wood type heat. Last February as part of getting things out of the house that we wanted to keep, removed the wood stove and put it on the back deck along with other stuff that we wanted to keep. I wasn’t going to reinstall it but was planning on using it if we built down at the stamp later on. About April or May it came up missing. I figured, since I had discussed with the GC originally that we weren’t going to put it back in and the fact that it was originally going to be replaced with a new one, that it had been thrown away along with a LOT of other stuff. I wasn’t too concerned about it because I bought it used and had very little money in it. A couple of weeks ago I was looking through Marketplace and saw a stove just like it. I clicked on the ad and looked at the pictures of it and it was my stove. They had taken enough pictures of it to show a couple of things I had done to it. Really pizzed me off but the more I thought about it the more I figured I really didn’t have enough proof to convince law enforcement that it was mine. It would have been my word against their’s. As they say, possession is 9/10’s of the law so I forgot about it. I’m still in the thinking stage about a pellet stove. Lowe’s carries a good one that I can afford.
