Got a little wind off Lake Superior here..

Down right chilly.

Here is a laker with some real history.. still in service.. it was the one that the coast guard sent back to look for survivors of the Edmund Fitzgerald wreck..

“The Arthur M Anderson”..
Gets a special salute wherever it goes..
Y'all bring us some of that northern coolness on your return trip please.
It's horrible here right now....

Exactly!

Trouble is, we have an electric range....

Power's still out....but the generator is also still chugging away, so that's nice.

I bet you have enough scraps from your mill to make a fire for a pot. I have three if these I think. Pulled this one over on my face and shoulder when I was a year old. Cut across the bridge of my nose from the pot and scar from the scalding coffee on my shoulder.

That’s exactly why I don’t have an electric stove & I once laid a hand on an electric burner while reaching into a overhead cabinet. Before I heated with wood, if the juice went out in the winter I would use the oven for a bit of heat, plus you always have the burners for cooking or boiling water if needed. Propane is the way to go in rural homes for stoves & water heaters.

Second attempt at nose sprocket replacement is successful.

Doner bar (Stihl) was 3/8”. 👌

I had difficulty with the rivets so took it to A friend with a wire feed welder. Fellows named ‘Steve’ are not to be overlooked. 😉

Ground away the old information.

Now I have a 16” bar needs dressed and a nose sprocket. 😑
