Which one reads the map and compass for you?
Well, they are very adept at pointing out the nearest food joint, preferably fried chicken.

If the lab is in the bunk, as soon as I pull into the ethanol plant she comes up front & stares in the scalehouse window. The main gal at the scales gives out Milkbones. If the secondary gal is running the probe/scales she doesn’t hand out any dog treats so Jetta just looks all forlorn & starts pouting.

I hope that ain't too graphic.....

It's not graphic, it's reality, IMO. I just called my hog guy yesterday and ordered 2. Can't wait till I can raise my own again. 500 lbers are huge hogs. 👍🏻

Welp, we got em all cut up and in the freezer...... quite a chore....
Took all 5 of us working like we meant it all day....
Still gotta grind the meat to make sausage, and cure all the hams & bacon.
The two big hogs were around 320 hanging weight......a bit over due for processing, I s'pose.

Thought I'd show y'all how we make sharp knives for cutting up all the critters that die around here...
Edge Pro....not sure what model we have, but it works very well.

I guess I'm too dumb to hold an edge and sharpen with a stone like a real man, so I had to find something that actually works.

My oldest brother is great with free hand sharpening, but when he saw how well this thing works he went out and bought one himself.

Not cheap, but it's totally worth it for the amount of butchering we do here.

Tax man sent me a new letter this week. Property value went Up 45% in one jump. No new buildings just land value. Said I wouldn't be paying for new 5 lane road. I am now. Now neighbor is listing their property for sale. $2.25 M (20 acres). They are hoping for commercial.

That looks pretty slick. I have an older Lansky setup that is the same concept, but this looks a bit more robust.

Is the black frame part plastic, or aluminum, or what material is that?
