It's all hype imo. My rock island has worked better all along....but the Kimber is pretty....
Had a Dan Wesson bruin 6" 10mm for a while, that was really nice!
Just couldn't enjoy owning something that fancy, so I sold it at a profit.

My son says the same thing about kimbers & Rock Islands, the fella at the local place said he believes kimbers are overpriced.

But yes the kimbers are all damn good looking. My sister-in-law won a Kimber 1911 at the Pheasants forever banquet a couple years ago. I have offered to buy it but had no success yet.

I had an XDM 5" in .40 s&w for a few days...it didn't do anything for me.
On of the worst triggers in my experience, and was kinda painful to shoot, but it was a very solid feeling chunk of artillery.
I sailed it.....
