The new carb got here before the carb kit did but it still runs for a bit and sputters and dies so I wondering if it's got an air leak but I don't know how to check for that
Does it have a primer bulb set up?
If so, for testing, bypass it.. And remove the tank vent for testing.

Yes it has a primer bulb

So you don't remove muffler and carb and block off openings to test engine
Air leak's are normally consistent..
If a saw runs right for 30 seconds then *s-words the bed, it's usually fuel or coil related.
Before vacuum testing, I try and eliminate fuel system gremlins first.
And how certain are you the primer bulb and it's hoses are connected "not backward"?

Well I installed the new one the same way old one was hooked up and saw runs longer but still won't idle much and the cylinder get over 350 degrees after 3/4 throttle for a minute or 2 before dieing witch is a little better then before

While bone broth is a very good option and the best route economically, has anyone here ever used CBD oil for their joints?

Since another comment took a wild turn. I'm talking about joints in the body, not what all the Dead Heads are smoking.

Yes I have and it was nasty tasting and left it for hrs
I could have over looked that if it would have worked. I noticed nothing

We brown the bones in the oven set on broil.
Put some kind of pans underneath the racks to catch the drippings

Cook em till they are nice and brown.....

In our experience if you don't bake em first, sometimes the broth has kind of a wet-dog taste/smell, which I never really enjoyed all that much.....

We're planning to fire up the stock pot in the morning, so I'll post more then.

This whole bone broth making thing is my wife's specialty, so I'm just trying to pass on her instructions here.....

Yes its getting closer to doing something like that
It can be very satisfying.....
Kinda like me shooting that stupid bull the other day..... normally I do not enjoy killing livestock at butcher time, but not in this case....

I have a poulan wild thing that they look to be the same saw so I will check how primer is hooked up on that one
Another thing to check is the impulse port. If I recall those don’t have an impulse line but they still have to have a way to get a pulse from the crankcase to the diaphragm pump. Being a new carb that much of it would be clear but check to make sure going to the engine is clear. Also make sure the carb gasket isn’t covering up the impulse port. They can be installed backwards by accident. The primer bulb simply brings fuel up to the carb, fills the pump chamber and returns excess to the tank. It’s sole purpose is to cut down the amount of pulling the saw over.
If you’ve got a compression gauge use it. Install gauge, hold throttle wide open and pull the engine over about 10 times and see what kind of pressure it will build.
Fuel caps have a vent built into them to keep the fuel tank from going into a vacuum which can keep an engine from staying running if it’s plugged/not working. Some of those saws have a duck bill vent in the tank and ethanol fuel can make them soft enough to the point of not opening properly. Too big of fuel line can be installed through the tank opening and get pinched down enough to cause a bad restriction.
As far as the head temperature, is that running the saw without the top cover on? The cover directs the air over the cylinder. Without it the flywheel simply blows air out the top of the opening rather than across the cooling fins.
After all this and it still won’t run right your next step is to pull the recoil rope all the way out, start swinging the saw above your head and violently crash it down on the concrete floor.
Repeatedly. Then go put it in the trash.
