Mason worked hard today, we kept on with a few projects after Steve and Goldie left. He got hungry and it was just the two of us for supper. He was kind of disappointed that we were out of hamburger but settled for some steak.

He ate one half of this of this with some corn. Yes, that is a full size dinner plate.

Wish we had stuck around for a while longer, now. Might have been able to mooch some of that steak.

We got a lot of hedge to cut today..

Thomas? You want me to cut some 16" or so?

Yes if not too late. I had 4 basketball games to go to today, then we had a movie night so I haven't been on here.

My buddy Rick picked up a cs81 JD with a burned up piston a while back. Check this out, never seen this one before.

the impulse male end broke off the cylinder, weird!!! Well I guess I can save the cylinder and epoxy a new one in, slap a new piston in there and see if she will go another round.

these things have monster transfers. Reminds me of a Stihl 066.

Hey Thomas!
You needin some hedge?

If it wasn't Super Bowl sunday tomorrow I would head your way...

Marc, that steak looks amazing...

One of these GTG's we need to pitch in for some steak. It is tough to beat steak on the grill. That deer Lewis cooks is phenomenal though.

20160207_005418.jpg On Brand's 254, well it will be

20160207_005418.jpg

It had a hard life
But a meteor piston, caber ring,
And cheap coil should get her going
I put the coil on and it started,
I knew compression was down.
Cylinder looks ok.
It is ugly got it from a scrap yard
For $10 last summer in one of my big saw pile scores. It will cut way faster
Than the 610

That's as bad as something that happened to me about a month ago. I hadn't ran my big Makita in quite some time, and when I fired it up I thought it was louder than usual, but I didn't have my hearing protection on and just shrugged it off. As I finished the first cut the durn muffler popped off, hit the chain and shot about three feet off the end of the bar. I never did find the muffler bolts, but luckily had a couple spares back at the house.

Morning guys.

What is the date of the charity cut Alan
March the fifth Cobey! I'll probably be there the third and fourth also.
Most of the terrain on this property is really steep, but there is a large enough area down by the road along the creek thats flat to provide a staging and splitting area. There are about 20 walnut tops to cut there, and I will have some more trees piled if it dries up enough to get around.

I did that with an 028 Stihl once, not dramatic as yours. As I remember it sounded faintly like an excited cow bell before pieces started dropping. Never did find one of the bolts. I'd wager there are several thousand pounds of assorted bolts and bar nuts scattered across the woods in these here United States.

Had a little excitement around here this morning. The landlords son leases all the land around my house and decided he was gonna burn the field right next to and around my house and garage FULL of saws! He only caught the chicken barn and a couple piles of old logs on fire, almost got into my pile of old mowers and I had to fight it out all the way around the garage. Man I'm beat! Here's the chicken barn up in flames!

Scary stuff. Good thing you were actually around to get the fire out. Hopefully they take care of you.

I just had home made roast beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, the last of Alan's carrots, salad, and rolls. I am as full as a tick,,,one of those big fat grey ones.

Who you all got today? I think the Panthers will win but I am pulling for the Broncos.

Been messing around with my basket case 024. Got it running! It is one UGLY saw, lol. Now I just have to get the oiler figured out, a clutch cover, couple bar nuts, and it'll be good to go. It is entirely too ugly to sell, lol. Might be my official loaner saw. Not sure. Anybody ever put an adjustable oiler into an 024/026 case that doesn't have the cut out for it? Looks like I can just drill/cut the area way for the adjustment screw and plop it in there.
