Calling for rain here tonight, the birds are hard at it here also. I am surprised there are any birds to sing here today after the way the wind blew yesterday, 45 mph gusts all day.

I finished up my friends last 30 acres of corn yesterday & started on his beans, I got 102 acres of beans in.

I did some research. The logs, trees and brush eventually ends up in south central Louisiana.

Over hundreds of years it formed ‘The Great Raft’ at the head of the Atchafalaya swamp. Fed into there when the Mississippi floods.

When they cleared the red River at Shreveport, they did it with slaves, mules , the cotton mouths were horrible, many died from snake bites .

Was heading into Home depot this evening looking for landscape timbers.
Nobody has any in the greater Spfd area.
On the way in the door I saw something that made my eyes open wide.
A Dewalt Zero turn mower. I kept looking for the 20 volt battery pack but it's actually got a gasoline engine.

The dewalt mower is a Cub Cadet. They are branding them only for home depot.

Got my rain machine working today for the Summer season.
Wildfire sprinkler system that draws from the lake and has 12 sprinkler heads to get everything really wet in case of fire. Installed after the last wildfire that missed us by only 3/4 mile 13 years ago.
