Belt installation was not horrible, but not as simple as it should be.. not real happy with wood mizer at this point. But we’ll see if it’ll do what I need in weeks to come..
A neighbor over in Iron County 10 years ago got back 1/2 the purchase price from having the 208 acres logged. Logger cut trimmed & left near Jame's wood mizer. He got about 90% or a little more from that pine to make his home from. He got his new, with a manual which may have made a dif

Just got Back from Definitivedave’s this afternoon. Over 16hrs drive time, 4 states, in 2 days. I am whooped. I’ll post pics tomorrow of my new addition to the collection. Also picked up a 16 6.7 Cummins engine by Indianapolis on my way to daves for my truck. Very productive trip. Hope all is well with everyone.

Started to clean up a tree that blew over bout a year ago north of hannah’s Place yesterday..

Got up to it and realized it was a 3 trunk ash tree..
That made my day sorta. Got 3 millable logs and about a cord of wood out of the rest.
Logs not huge, bout 16”, but straight and 12’ or so..

That should be easier to mill versus the hedge last time.
I milled that hedge cant yesterday..
It cut fine with a band that wasn’t damaged..
Jerry gave me a skunk in a sack. Most of the bands he had coiled up weren’t sharpened..
They were to “be sharpened”..
I’m throwing them in the trash.. lol

Touch up the to be sharpened bands with a 4 inch grinder if there is enough set left in the teeth. The results just might surprise you. Pattern the shape of the teeth like a new band.

Only takes about two days to get new bandsaw blades from Woodmizer or Cooks by UPS. Cooks might be even faster for you. Was going to do some milling yesterday but it was 23 in the morning. Decided not to mill. Bandsaw milling is much easier than large circular blade milling. Lot of art to spinning a curved circular blade fast enough that it flattens out to cut straight and flat. But then I am still amazed at how the bandsaw blade stays on the wheels.

I picked up 15 new bands from the wood mizer guy just 10 miles southeast of here..
He keeps em in stock.
They’re only $22 each if ya buy a box of 15.
Less if ya buy a pallet of 10 boxes.
Seems they really want to sell lots of bands.

I thought about that, but the set is gone on all of those blades. Jerry hit something obviously

Hope it's not because they are junk.
