Thank you for asking. Yes, everything is good. I kind of jump around from hobby to hobby. I've been in rc planes and cars since I was a kid. My enthusiasm for chainsaws always peaks when cool weather starts.

I'm cleaning the little but mighty 200t, my 024s and my 440. I'm hoping to find a landowner that'll let me harvest some hedge or locust. My parents have a wood burning stove so I cut and split wood for them. How have you been?
Why the long absence? Everything alright?

I have been good, all things considered. Just the normal life struggles that come with raising teenage boys during crazy times.

I hear you on getting the urge to cut in cooler weather. I went and looked at some wood yesterday; red oak, white oak, pecan, and walnut. I was supposed to go start cutting today but it started raining and not supposed to stop until Friday, maybe Thursday.

I've been slacking this year. I should have been out looking for places to cut.

Cold and wet here.
The bones are feeling it. But I'll take the cold wet over 100 degrees any day.
:)
Creek wasn't as invigorating as it has other times. Did get wetter tho, usually drip dry when I stand up, but the rain dripped on me keeping skin wet.

I have some neighbors who work in it. They are good people, but are forced to work in a “system” that does not reward or seek out talent. And encourages compliance over achievements.
And some of the teachers and admins I’ve met are not very smart or talented. I can honestly say, I’ve never been “surprised” or “impressed”, by any of them in a good way.
The Ag and trades classes are solid, but the rest has been found lacking..
It’s real simple..
teachers and coaches are supposed to be “identifiers of talent” then encourage a kid in the direction they’re good at.
But all must know the basics.. not gender studies..
Math, good reading skills, communication skills, and history.. “Not revisionist”
