Morning! I was up a little late last night working on the Solo 650. That bearing/seal/cylinder gasket set-up on them is pretty terrible. I also didn't have the right oil seal for the clutch side (not the size listed on the IPL I have). Luckily, it just so happens to be a 15x29.6 which is the same size as the clutch side for an 026. I always have at least one of those laying around, so I was still in business. :aaaaa:It's also a real PITA to get it all back together. They don't make the cylinder gasket anymore (I'll post a pic, its pretty stupid), so I just cleaned everything up and reused the old gasket with a healthy dose of Dirko sealant on everything. Letting it sit till tonight, then we'll see how we do.

Morning folks. Got a little rain here today. Hope it doesn't rain too much. The ground was just finally starting to firm up a bit. Have a good one. I'm off to a service call in Paris.

Let it snow let it snow let it snow. We are snowed in today. Wind is picking up with 2 or 3 inch on the ground.

Stopped by my buddy Rick tuckers last night. He had a couple new saws and stuff. Thought this was pretty cool though. Brand NIB Atkins loop of 1/2 complete with paperwork and a bag of rivets tie straps and cutters

plus I forgot to pics but he found a nice 2 sided metal poulan sign from the 70-80's probably. It's in pretty good condition.

20160202_171639.jpgGetting rid of 180 tool less junk
You have to pry this aluminum block out
Remove both tool less studs out
Screw in the new studs

20160202_171716.jpg
The adjuster snaps in, in place of the aluminum block,
Make sure you use the u clip supplied
With the adjuster to hold the screw in place.

The gear/adjuster/round metal turd,
Is held on the bar with two screws....
You throw all this crap in the nearest river or lake (after the oil is removed )
And put the uncluttered bar back on
Your saw... now you thumb won't be
Tired turning that tool less adjuster :)

Got a call today. Asked me if I wanted some silver maple, I said "sure" as long as it is not rotten. Silver maple has a tendency to rot from the inside out and you never know until you take it down. They sent me pics. How come the tree never looks as big in the pictures as it does in person? Anyhow I cut for about an hour and a half. Going back tomorrow to load the trailer and cut some more.
