I've not rung in the new year for about 30 years. The last time I stayed up till midnight was Y2K. Just to see if the lights went out.
They didn't.
I promptly stood out on the front porch and laughed my a$$ off.

The last sentence made me chuckle. It's been probably 10 years since I've brought in the new year.
