20160529_194553.jpg 20160529_194553.jpg My little boat is a tough little
Booger, me and Bran went around
7 miles in it yesterday.
He used a inflatable seat on the front.
With me by myself I'm not afraid
Of any of the local lakes of pits with it with it, a 40 # thrust trolling motor
Will make a little wake if I'm in a hurry.
I would like to try a old school 2 hp
2 cycle motor on it. The new 4 strokes would be too heavy. It even passed the peeing out of the back test lol

Went around the pond tonight picking up a few agressive bass with the spinner bait.
Then I caught a big crappie on it..

Not sure how he got in there. We never put any in the pond.. Guess he never got the memo?

Seems like an OK problem to have. Crappie rank pretty high on my eating list

I used to fish about everyday before I had kids. Then one day at work someone stole all my poles and tackle boxes out of the back of my truck. Haven't had the desire since. I Should pick it back up since I got two farm ponds behind the house

Farm ponds are the best..
I've thought about selling the bass boat and paying a dozer man to make me a 2 acre lake.
I can manage my own fishery better than the DNR can.
That's fo damn sure..

Levi and I got one of the log piles cleaned up yesterday..
I made him split it with the fiskars.
It was his daily "work out".
Not sure if he was buying that or not. But if you line up 10 pieces, he can make pretty quick work of em..
Till he's sucking air and leaning on the maul that is. Lol
Those pieces that just suck the axe up and laugh, can get a little defeating sometimes.
That's when it gets personal.
Just gotta get pissed, and finish them.
I think that may be a good life lesson..

BIL and I go fishing quite a lot but we don't keep any. We call it "taking inventory".
We do that too Carl.
So when it's fish fry time, we know what to clean out and what to throw back for a year or 2 down the road.
It helps having 4 ponds to pick from.
The one I fished has not been touched for 2 years. There are some hogs in it right now.
Next weekend, we'll get the worms out and see what the bluegill situation is like in it.

Steve P and Steve L got me thinking about finding a new piston and giving Fat Alice some power between her hips. Chuck the head in a lathe and up the CR.

But then I'd need to convert to a kick starter.

A larger bore Tilly. Some Dremmel work...........[emoji848]

I've got several Relatives that served in WWII. My Grandmothers brothers and her son Arnold and my Dad. Got to meet all of them at one time or another, except Arnold. He was killed on Luzon in the Phillipenes, May 1945. Just months from the end of the war. He was 19. I wish I could have met him. He had a horse named Prince that my grandparents kept until he died of old age about 1970.
