My plan was slab down as far as possible with the Alaskan. Then use my 90° guide which follows a 1x3 right down the center for a beginning to try to meet noodling from each end of a 12 foot log with the 6 foot bar. The closer they are the less waste on the trim it flat 1st slice.Ummmmm. Freehand slab it squareish and then mill?
If ever I have time to make my Mall a runner I'd need a longer b&c, 84" cut wood be enough. Easier to guide down the log rather than across. Field experience uses what's on handYou need one of my Mall 7's with the 144" bar option.
