A question on ethics.
The fellow who carried off the McCinderblock wanted the Poulan 2000 x 12” for his wife.

No chainbrake.

She was barely 5’ and 100# soaking wet.[emoji15]

I refused as I deemed it too dangerous for an inexperienced sawyer/groundie.

What you guys think?

Bigger would be safer, imho. Smaller doesn't equate to being safe. It tends to make one bold. Which is dangerous.
Did the right thing, Carl.

You made the right call. A nice wild thing from Wally world would suit her nicely.

What Ida done. Won't risk my conscience chewing on my behind the rest of my days. Newbie wood have no respect for that saw. IMHO that is more dangersome than a Ms 460 w/24" bar.
My HAHAHA trip; wanting to lay claim to "80" dia. by 12 foot maple" . Met Mike with his cocktail in hand, and heard him say I laid the tape around about half way each side and it was 40" :risas3:doubled that is 80";). Told him of the difference between diameter and circumference and declined the offered beer for the road.
Kept my mind working how to mill 80"diameter w 72" bar in an Alaskan mill. Slice as far as ya can and use the b&c w/o mill to 1/4 saw, then back to milling. Then I arrived at Mike's.
Hope I get to practice that someday.
Rest easy Ya'll

Morning midlanders.

Took another run at the Echo tophandle and actually got it to run. [emoji15] Then it wouldn’t oil. Found a split in the hose. Used Stihl hose to fix that. And a dab of 3M weatherstrip adhesive.

Stihl searching for a .325” bar/chain for the MS260 mutt. Blister pack from Lowe’s or Menards are only game on Sundays. [emoji90]

Good morning Sawyers! How is the Missouri River doing?
According to reports they are evacuating a few small communities in Iowa & claim it’s worse than the 2011 flooding. I haven’t ventured the 90 miles to look it over. @67l36driver has a front row seat for the event.

You need one of my Mall 7's with the 144" bar option.
