Well, it's burnin gas on all 6 cylinders again.

John, It is located in the most confined area of the engine so it could be that it couldn't dissipate heat well.

Plus, it's a F**d.[emoji57]

I'm kind of a GM fan, but I know Ford guys like their trucks, and I don't enter the fray. That looked like it had been smashed up. I remember there was a fuss about thin walled blocks (I mean heads, LOL) a while back, where the spark plug threads would strip out on "Triton" engines. That would be a pain in the backside, and an expensive one at that.

Glad you figured it out so quickly, looked like an easy fix compared to what it could have been.

Morning everybody! Winds picked up and temperature dropping fast here. Glad I worked on the woodpile all day yesterday.
Yeah, Russell, my mulching job yesterday looks like it never happened. I was making 6 inch deep wind rows of leaf dust yesterday.

Can you hook up to it and pull it out?
Not w/o @Cat 525 's skidder or one like it. It would have to do a U-turn around 3 trees He wants to keep, (going S.E. to the East, then North) and then dogleg back to the East in about 35-40'. Plus, he has a small grove of young Redbuds that he was quite insistent on NOT being damaged. If it wasn't Red Oak, I'd of told Him to piss off... I'd love to mill it out as it would make beautiful lumber (being about 28-32" dia and roughly 14' long), but it'll be firewood on the next outing. Such is life. If it could be extracted w/o causing a fuss, I'd absolutely have @Cat 525 out to make a few $$$. But, since he's my neighbor, and word of mouth is everything around here, I'm going to play it safe.

It it blowing like a SOB around here though. Just finished haying the hooved animals and checking on a neighbor's broken truck. Now it's time to warm up by the stove and take a nap!!!

Slabbed some red oak yesterday. Does look nice. Plus some wide bur oak. The red oak does have an acid smell. Tannic acid I think. The red oak log weighed 4000 lbs.

Well, I had to drive to Topeka in it today. Did OK, but I can't figure out why people drive semis with two trailers faster than I'm willing to drive a 4WD pickup. And I used to ride a Harley at insane speeds when I thought I was younger...

And well some truck drivers feel invincible

E85 is close to windshield washer fluid right?

Should get a gallon, fill my Hudson sprayer and put it on the driveway for snow melt. [emoji848]

Business are shutting down. All the schools are a given.

KCI just shut down.
Dang. Glad I wasn't flying.
I wonder if someone could take a $2 gallon of e85 and still off the alcohol while leaving everything else behind, use the ethanol for whisky, and have pure petrol to put in the tank. Subsidized as it is, there might be an advantage to be had for a resourceful soul.
