Glad I have two sons that have grown up doing this so we got plenty of help! This old man hates snow anymore!
The guy selling it came up to me and wanted to sell it pretty bad for 800.00. I told him it was only worth 400 to me that I had a old Jonsered 2094 that was all I needed. They are indeed..
So it was a “no sale”?

Evening all! I hope all of you had a good Thanksgiving!
I finally got to go back and mostly finish a Read Oak that I started awhile back, which was blown over into a creek. With the help of Dad and some friends, and a gas 3020 and new 1-series mini Deere tractors, we got a lot out. Also removed a nice White Oak. 3 3/4 dump loads full and I have a lot of noodling and splitting to do. I'll snap a picture in the light of what's on the ground here now, but ran out of daylight yesterday and was gone all day today at the M.I.L's.
In the first Pic, I'm running the 3020, while my friend who owns both tractors took it and was on the smaller Deere.

In this one, I'm stradding the tree about to make a cut, while another friend was behind me after handing me the saw. A few parts got a bit sketchy, but we got'er done with no injuries and no equipment mishaps, thank the Lord!!

I still need to return for the trunk and try to get the barkless snag in the picture above out of the drink as well. Just out of frame, to the left, if a concrete dam. The owner doesn't want it getting washed out...
Morning Dan.Good morning Gents!

Started snowing in River City.
I was hoping for more freezing rain to help the retail chainsaw sales. [emoji48]
Things are complicated enough without people throwing monkey wrenches into the works..I did get the log wizard debarking tool. Works good for removing bark. Bit heavy on a 562. But had some problems making a chain for the log wizard. Pulled out a new roll of Oregon 72DPX100 (050 semi Chisel). Made up the chain. When I put the chain on the bar some of the drive links were to big. The loop had 4 drive links of 058 and the rest were 050. Took awhile to figure out what was going on since using a new bar and new rim sproket. Asked the pro tree guys if some of their chains were fitting tight. Indeed some were a bit tight. But they still worked since their bars are old. The oregon chain was made in Brazil. The chain did come from the distributors warehouse.
Its toast.Well, that wasn't too hard to locate the problem [emoji849]![]()
