Wow! 10 years ago we helped a neighbor hand dig a well 45' here on river bottom. It was for his garden only.

I believe around 180'. I need to find my receipt for when I had the pump replaced a few years back. Called Bill Rose and was quoted $8500 for 500 foot deep, 80 cased, 1.5hp pump and lines to the house assuming I am not in the DNR impact zone. If I am it could be as much as $20,000 just for the drilling and the casing. According to the DNR map I am outside the zone thankfully. They said that they would drill until they got 30 gmp flow.

I wonder what they drove it with?

I’ve heard good things about bill rose guys.

i may look into an 8” well about 7-900 feet deep on the 40 of Hannah and ely’s.

I got bigger plans for it besides watering 50 cows.
And a future house.

I'd say 50-60 psi. I know house water pressure around here is 45psi and its stronger than that.

Bill Rose they are the best.They take care of our well,always have 40 some years.Bill was my little league coach.His son runs it now,they are just down the road from us.They won't cheat you just the best.Known them all my life.did I say they are good people.Matt how are you liking your sparten mower I been looken that or a bad boy?

If we don't get some rain I will be drilling a new well regardless. Old one is a driven well with a small casing. Windmill legs used to stick up above ground by the well house until I got tired of mowing around them. Already checked and the casing is too small for them to re-drill. May call today and check pricing.

Many years ago, our neighbor would fire a high-powered rifle down his driven well to clear the clogged sand point screen.
