Stihl is a good saw, and I love my little MS260. However, as long as I can run my Makita 6401 I cannot, in all good conscience, "like" this post. It may be the ONLY saw Dolmar ever got right, but baby - they got it RIIIGHT!!

I hear Dolmars are great saws. I ran one once, and it definitely outcut any comparable saw of mine. The red saws are good, and so are the orange Swedish ones. It's stihl fun to have a laugh or three about it, a lot like the Ford and Chevy truck people.

Germany's national anthem is "Deutschland Über Alles," so it only seems appropriate.

Need some opinions...

So - ideas, thoughts and opinions. Before someone says "Replace it with a Husky/Dolmar/Johnny Red" - it has to be a Stihl for him to be happy.

Don't know if it would help you out any, Marc. But I have a semi complete ms170 carcass here at the house that's just collecting dust. It's yours if'n it'll help you out. Has a good engine at least.

I have picked a few smalls off of it though.
