2000's Altimas are really good. Don't know about the newer ones.

Nope, as is with 60s. The oiing system in the v8s in those was sub-par, but a 429 or 460 solved that. The transmissions were all good, and the 205 case was one of the best. Hell, even the 300 six was far ahead of what competitors were putting in base model trucks. For @Woodslasher, @cuinrearview, and other ford heads. Not a ford guy but I’d definitely sport this one…after swap to newer one ton axles.

@redline4 or any gearhead, is grease leaking out of a new (~500 miles on it) timken hub unit normal or cause for concern? I redid almost all the front end parts (steering, brakes, bearings, etc) on my Dodge about 500 miles ago but when I pulled it all apart again to replace the drivers side diff seal I noticed there was a fair amount of grease coming out of the seals on one of the hub bearings. Should I replace it again or is some seepage normal?
I do have a pic, but I replaced the bearing anyways and now my front end shudder seems to have gone away so I'm guessing it was no bueno. Fyi, all that grease came from the hub within the last 500 miles, none of it was pre-existing, from other sources, etc, and there was even more stuck to the hub unit.Got a pic?
I'd think some seepage would probably be ok and considered normal.

Ok, I am trying to lay low on helping people with their cars, but granddaughter has a 2012 chevy malibu with sporadic starting issue. Replaced fuel pump (what a joy, body still hurts for wiggling around on garage floor, drop tank, no access port) still does it. If you pull pump relay (replaced that also) and plug back in, it may start (think that is just a coincidence). Car will start and run fine most of time, sometimes cranks but will not start, let it sit, or pull relay, push back in, car starts. Car shows no engine codes. Any ideas before it's off to dealership? Wife says I am too old for this! @redline4
Thanks, will do that, if she leaves her car here long enough. My wife, daughter and granddaughter would put roadrunner to shame! If you can get it to not start, check for voltage at the connector in front of the fuel tank between the large Guage gray wire and the ground, black wire next to it. I can get you the connector end view if you want it.
I have seen that connector have poor terminal contact causing intermittent no start (no fuel pressure) as well.
I'd take that front spoiler off and drive the chit out of that.
