…for driveshafts and axle shafts too 😆
Funny thing is, first time I went out to play, turned front U joints into I joints. Changed rear end to Ford 8 inch and installed Superior front axle shafts, problem solved. Rebuilt SM465 trans and used a Dodge 231hd transfer case. Driveshafts had already been upgraded. Did have to relocated oil filter, after ripping one open. It fit it's Jeep name, just empty every pocket.

Fluke 87 or 88 if you're a full time guy.

Or just a basic auto ranging fluke will suit your needs im sure.

Actron never responded to several e-mails about repairing my meter. That sux, because I've always found them to be the best for cheap diagnostic tools. Found a very nice Cornwell branded Electronic Specialties 585 with all the leads for a c-note on Fleabay so I bought it. ES makes stuff for Mac/Matco/Cornwell and probably Snappy though they would never admit it. I have a handheld tach from them and the pickup got eaten by a flywheel. I contacted them to buy another one and they sent it out fast no charge. Good company to deal with!

Wife is considering a 2014 Honda CR-V and a 2016 Toyota Rav4. Both are four banger/automatic/front wheel drive only. Both rebuilt title and under 100k miles. Honda is 15k, Toyota is 16k. Any known problems with these vehicles? Of course, I'm leaning towards the Toyota!

Check into the reliability of the transmissions if CVT.

Why the rebuilt titles? I'd be carfaxing both before I made any decisions. The last running and driving no problem rebuilt title car I bought I paid 150 bucks for.

Are any CVT's worth a poop? I know the Nissans are hot garbage. How about Honda or Toyota? From what I can tell the 2016 Rav 4 has a regular transmission and no start-stop garbage.

Muranos and rouges have major CVT issues. I haven't replaced any other than those two. After having my cube now and have put 2000 miles on it, I love a well tuned CVT!

Sounds good, thanks. You ever hear anything about the Honda CVT's? I'm soured on Honda due to phantom electrical problems and VCM garbage, but I have a lot of respect for their older products.

None that I have encountered. The early cvts in the dodge calibers has issues but I haven't had any of the FCA CVTs have issues yet.

What about Nissan Altima? My son is 16 in August and I need to find something. Nissan seems to be more affordable than Honda or Toyota.

My oldest son drove a RAV4 for a number of years. Absolutely reliable.
