One good pressure washing, some trim removal and a winch bumper later I have this:

Only two years after I put on the bumper I built a set of battery cables for the winch and wired in the lights...... Told ya I'd get around to it eventually! Yep, I know the one battery cable needs to be adjusted, I'm still fine tuning a couple things under the hood.

The stage has been set, over 5 years after I promised to buy it I'll finally be bringing her home tomorrow afternoon. Amazingly, after sitting for 35+ years the brakes aren't frozen and the tires still hold air! It's a 1965 International C1300 4x4 with a 304 V8. Originally it was a Gov't truck (BLM if I recall right), the current owner bought it at a gov't auction in 1981-ish, non-opped it in 87, and parked it for the last time right around then.

Moving on up from axes to saws to trucks I see.
Kinda, this was more of a "window may be closing soon and I've finally got a place to store it" acquisition and (for now) I've found what saws and axes I like and I've pretty much sold off the rest. And my current three trucks are all I want to acquire for the foreseeable future, unless my neighbor changes his mind and will sell me his 69 GMC.
Is that gonna get a 12V Cummins?
Mebbe, depends on whether the original 304 is in running condition. If it is, it'll stay there for awhile. If it isn't, it'll still stay there for awhile but I'll actively try to acquire a 12V or 6.9/7.3 to swap in when I start to work on the truck. Finishing up the last few tasks on the Dodge is priority uno, Yella Ferd is #2 until I get it streetable with a disc brake front end, then I'll bounce between working on the two yella trucks.

This is my latest project
2019 Honda Accord Touring.
PO didn't have insurance, he tried to get it repaired but no shops in Whitehorse like to work on private stuff all insurance jobs.
He was moving and it was in a storage yard,i got a decent deal and after buying a couple tires and battery drove it home.
Goes like hell.accord1.jpgaccord2.jpg

Did you just cut out the bags so they were not in the way?

After a bit of cursing and fighting, the truck's at it's new home! After a brief but pitched battle with some hornets it was unloaded and pressure washed, and later in the week it'll get stashed in the storage yard.

Good times, reminds me of a trip I took out that way back in 2008.

I guess that sign was right, my trailer peeled some bark off these trees, getting it around this corner.

I asked the manager at the marina if it was OK to leave my truck & trailer here for a few hours, while I hiked up in the woods to get the old truck I bought, he said sure no problem, I return a few hours later Sheriff was on scene ready to call a tow truck to have my truck towed to impound, manager at the marina called him complaining. Sheriff wanted to know how I got my trailer up there in the first place, seeing the road was marked not for trucks & trailers, and it was so narrow. I plead the 5th and got outta dodge....

Further I went the narrower the road became.

End of the road this was waiting for me. It hadn't ran in years, no battery, gas cap was MIA, gas tank was full of water, I rigged up a lawn mower gas tank and electric fuel pump on the front bumper right to the carb, brand new battery, it whirled over and coughed a few times, then it came to life again, I drove it down to where my trailer was, only to be met by the Sheriff.
