Thanks! I'm hoping they handle as nice as they look!
A quick trip into town revealed that when the truck hit speeds of 50+ it began acting really squirrely. Once I got it home I found out the tires were at 60psi so I dropped the fronts to 40 and the rears to 35 and I'm hoping that'll fix it. For unladen driving I'm thinking those should be reasonable numbers.

Turns out that the 69 has a 74 302 block out of a Maverick, and all of the 69 stuff she ordered for it doesnt fit or work with the accessories. I thought the timing cover was leaking, but it's a little more sinnister than that .................

So, we ordered the correct timing cover for the 74, the correct hi-performance water pump, and we're going to see how all of the pulleys & custom brackets fit.

BUT .................
First things first, giving some thought on what I'm gunna do about picture #2 (above)

855FC9FD-FD39-4AEA-B3C3-44B984FE420C.jpeg Water pump inlet is now on the drivers side, and wouldn’t you know it, everything seems to line up so far !

We can’t use the billet power steering pump bracket, or the billet alternator bracket, so we’re deeper into it for another $450.00 for yet another set of billet brackets

Awrighty gearheads! I've got a question for y'all. 1978 Dodge W250, 4:09 D44 front, open knuckle, disc brake. Can I cram this under the front of my '71 F250? I know I'd need a Chevy t-case (pass side drop), but would the perch widths be close? I found that axle under a Dodge at a local wrecking yard and I'm trying to assess how hard it would be to use that to upgrade my Ford to discs and open knuckles. I know Dodge had a chitty full-time 4wd option and no locking hubs at that time period, so if I'm gonna basically be buying a tube with a few gears in it and sourcing all new knuckles and stuffs I'll just hold off and keep hunting for a Ford D44 front.

The width is different for the perches

Damn. Well, that settles it. It'd need far too much stuff for me to want to mess with it.
I hear ya, it’s been a minute but I the early ford is super narrow, dodge and Chevrolet can swap, but the spring Perth with is different, 2.5” v 3” springs. And the late ford is wider

I know on my truck the frame rails are 34 inches wide at the front, but outside of that I'm not really sure about that stuff.

I just measured my Chevy d60 spring perches on my blazer and they are 34” outside to outside and 31.5 centers.

I just looked up the 76-79 it looks the same, 31.5 centers, but the internet says the dodge is 32.5, it also says the Chevy is 32” but people who have measured say 31.5 on the Chevy d60

Anybody have pros or cons on a spray grease made by Castle//Enduro spray. Zenex has discontinued the Grip and Grease product which was great. Looking for a penetrating liquid to flash off to grease. It supposedly has a 600 deg.F dropping point and great reviews. Although at times reviews can be misleading. Just looking for some input. Thx.
