I'm liking the valve stem theory as well. I had heard of folks doing that years ago, but had never seen it done. Would be a quick and painless solution to a lasting vent. Hit the hole area before the valve stem base is pulled through to seat, with some Permatex or RTV just for added measure, I don't see how you could go wrong going that route.I'm guessing this is what you are talking about? Looks pretty good, but I also now think the valve stem idea is a good one and I can get that locally.
