Spent a week at a camp in northern Ontario, me being me I was gifted with firewood duty. I did up more after this, worked out to about 1/2 cord of Spruce and some balsam? poplar. Not much picking for prime firewood there
Used a husky 455 and chopping axe to split, I couldn’t bring my toys

Cool!

It all burns once You get a good ember bedding.

I started this one with dry turkey oak bark.


While it was burning I started peeling my cherry log and dropped the wet cherry bark in.


Short lived smokescreen, mostly moist evaporating, and then this.

I have to say the black spruce impressed me, really easy to work up, not overly sappy. Even burned good green

Gave the super split a workout today and split about 7 cord. I think it’s going to be an early bedtime tonight

The last of the large ash trees .Around 40-45 feet of 30 inch stuff plus another 16-20 I've already cut up from a 100 footer when it was still standing .I'm guessing it's around 3.5 cords .I must say I do like that skid loader which is my neighbors .He has it I have a dozer and 6 chainsaws 100 cc and larger ,works out well for both of us .
