After cutting the oak I found this one laying on the side of road . The outer part of the tree had some rot but the center was solid . I used my scarr 572XP with 24" 404 chain . I really like 404 in dirty wood .

I cut some wood for a boiler this morning . A couple dead trees close to the road . I used my xs 572xpg and my scarr 572XP . Both saws wearing 24" 404 bars . Some of the wood was a little punky but still got some solid wood .

My grandfather bought the Pioneer new. 63 years old and still running fine (after a carb rebuild couple years ago and a new air filter).
Trying to get used to wearing a helmet... so far I'm not crazy about it except for felling.

Almost done. Had to replace trucks fuel line, buy new fridge and dryer. Helped friend get his 455 powered 1976 GMC motorhome running. Started splitting today and it decided to rain snow mix, so gave up. Working in cold is fine, cold and wet, nope.IMG_20221113_113225974.jpg IMG_20221113_112956977.jpg

I cut up some this morning . Some blow overs that were in hole . The tractor couldn't pull them out . I ended up cutting the limbs off and pieces of the trunk . Then the tractor pulled them out of the hole .

Who mudered out the 2166 o_O.
If I could take away the eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee(tinnitus), I'd happily do it. I wear my helmet/ears "most" always now.

FIFY.
Driller helped me port it. Showed me how to degree wheel and mark cyl for grinding.
That's awesome.
How's she run.
Just looked at my driller 359 a couple days ago sitting in the basement, been running another a friend did for me, it's set up with a 9 pin and a 20x325 chain, fun saws. Too bad I rarely run a 60, and I currently have 4 iirc, just listed a 359 that needs the carb done on AS.
I bought a nice 2166 this summer, ill probably list that too. Started a new job and I have no time for any tinkering and I've got a lot of great saws already modded so I'll be letting a good number go, just haven't decided what a good number is yet lol.

It runs awesome. Currently wears a non-modded muffin. It’s nice to have a strong saw that isn’t obnoxious loud. I’ve had a 350/346 top kit in his possession since beginning of April. Haven’t heard from him in a long time. Sadly, I’ve given up on it. :( If I get it back someday, bonus. :nusenuse:
I wouldn’t mind thinning the herd too. I have several that don’t see use. I’m in the camp of quality over quantity. 357/365/394 are the work horses of my stable. Everything else is just occasional.

I finally got back out and started hauling wood back home. 2 of these trees I took down back in May. There's 5 honey locust right here. Then there's a huge pile of pushed together stuff, that's going to take so sorting through.

I'm going to get after it the next week. So hopefully there's not much left here next week. There's gotta be 10 cord right where I'm at. Probably another 5 in the pushed together pile. Then there's 2 other large piles I have yet to fully assess.

Here's the first load and how I haul my saws to the further jobs. IMG_20221122_132952_429.jpgIMG_20221122_132955_306.jpgIMG_20221122_133002_773.jpgIMG_20221122_133009_735.jpgIMG_20221122_153859_035.jpg
