Grinding is done just gotta blend it and polish exhaust. May have messed up my port timing. Intake had a big wall of plating with a void behind it that was really hard to see. We shall see how far off my timing is... I'd bet my intake dropped at least 4 degrees.

Latest on quality? I would say pretty good overall. Fit and finish I rate as average so not bad for china crap. Everything went together like it was supposed to. Only issue was a sharp edge of flashing on the recoil handle ends.

Farmer Chuck was feeling his oats coming in at .025, 101/125/80. Now he's gettin'ready to get his drink and his two-step on.

Unfortunately Farmer Chuck suffered a lean seizure as a result of a reckless tuning session. Always practice safety when you play with your screws boys and girls.

Now its back to the grinding board for a do-over.

I agree with the above statements. Locating pin doesn't look like it was doing its job very well. Every one I've built will not idle with factory settings. Always have to turn up idle and lean out the low and high about half a turn. What brand piston is that?

Yea, with an addl break on the second ring to the right of that.

Wonder if the ring spun, or went in wrong.

Nothing nearly that dramatic. Ring is moved because I fiddle *f-worded it inspecting it when I opened it up. No catastrophic failure. Piston cleaned up fine when I rubbed some 400 over it and the jug was unscathed. a true testament of the durability of the plating

Did you lean it out after the video? Did it totally lock up on you? I've had luck leaning it out until it starts to sound clean and then turning it back about an 1/8-1/4 turn.
