Pretty sure my abacus was right. I recalibrated it before calculating. Are you sure it's not 9% ? .. that matters.
Idk about the saw in the video. But mine only likes some degrees. Half a key and mine beginns to popHow much timing advance did that 462 get, and how much did it help?
Well hell, maybe I used the wrong reset procedure. I did read it on the internets.Don't screw with my production numbers.
In other news, I used my new (stock) 462 for the first time today. Hot damn, what a great saw.
I have a ported 461R which is no doubt faster, but 2.7 lbs heavier. For the kind of cutting I use the saw for (mostly with a 20 or 25" bar), I'll take the 462.
Between it and my MMWS 261 I'm pretty happy. I plan to do a speed test between all of the above but I'm waiting for the 462 to break in.
I'm tempted it replace my 241 with the new 8.1 lbs rear handle 201c-em when it comes out, to get a little more spread between them. But we'll see.
I was a big 241 fan..not that I dislike them..but now that I have 201 rear handles they made a 241 kinda pointless for MY use.
Nice. No regrets going 241 to a 201? (Assuming that you have other saws around - 261, etc)
Did a muffler mod help it? Timing advance? What percent gain did you get? Did it pop? LolYa the version 2 261 kinda made me start to look at a 241 different...then a 201 rear finished it off. Having those 2 saws makes a 241 irrelevant for me now.
