It must be the tune. I run Saber at 40:1 and my plug in 044#1 was just fine, and the inside of the muff cover was so clean I could drag my finger across it and almost not get dirty.

Don't understand why you guys are getting different results.

I did a lot of limbing before i took the imageslike 8 tall trees worth,i bucked 3 trees into firewood tonight and the plug is real clean now maybe i was not loading the saber enough to burn completely will post new plug image in the am ,but it looks as clean or cleaner than the dumonde plug i posted.

I'm sure they will both be nice, but the 7900 had a size advantage, so I would not bet against it. That said, the hybrid should weight less.

Keep us posted about what you think of it. Too bad you are so far away, I'd love to have my 460/046-D in the mix, that saw is strong!

You ever run a 7900, Mike? They are so smooth, and balance well. It doesn't feel like an 80cc saw to me when I'm running it.

Yes, a few times, but they were stock. Nice saws for stock, but they were stock. The 576 & 661 also feel very nice stock, all are smooth & strong. IMO, the 661 is very impressive, but that is a larger saw.
