I am loving the 620. Got it to be faster on long chains. And it is way faster. First long chain (196 dl) was done so fast I thought I must have made a mistake and didn't grind all of it. But it was all done. A few less steps to grind each cutter. Never put the pink wheels on it. Started with a new CBN.

Love your stand, Great job

I should add I still am happy with the deal I got on my Oregon 520.... I paid $324 shipped to my door.... I still have not seen any 520s prices lower than that....

520 is a great grinder, and you got a great deal on it at that price.

The lowest price I could find on a 620 is $364 w/free shipping on eBay from Russo Power equipment. That's where I got mine from also.

So, after countless hours searching for a swivel to mount my grinders on, and even looking into slides.
I moved a table, and mounted them to the wall.
Actually work pretty good. And I can get my chair close enough to see them.

Do you use a wrench to change the head angle? I thought about mounting mine that way in our barn.

I'll have to post a picture. The usg you do use a wrench. But most other grinders, the knob is on the back. So for them I mounted a 2x4 and a piece of finish board. The usg is mounted straight to the wall.
I was surprised how sturdy they are. I had them on stands, but they were always in the way.

I like the cleat, for rear knob access. Ideally, I would like some height adjustability, or at least a sit/stand option.

Keep an eye on sparks and that wood too (safety guy) - you might want to add a piece of sheet metal in-between (or a mirror so that you can watch yourself).

I do have a seat option, I'm not grinding all day on my feet. The height is perfect for my chair.

Dammit man you know me already!!!!

Yes I was out there tonight LOL.... I did a 25" RS, and wow yes I love it....smooth, no dust, and a the biggest plus, no wheel shaping!!!!!

@Philbert, the wheel spins absolutely perfectly true, as far as my human eye can see....it looks like it also leave a great finish (not that it probably matters!!!)....

Granted I have only done 1 chain, but with they way I grind(little bits at a time), this wheel seems to leave no burr!!!!......I will let you guys know if that changes...

I inspected the wheel after the single chain and you literally could not tell I ground anything with it.... still looked new.... maybe this thing will do thousands of chains after all....hell I believe if they only did 1000 chains the would be worth the money.... never reshaping the wheel helps give you more accurate results chain to chain....

One more thing, REALLY like the profile of the wheel I will get a pick of it with the pink wheel when I get a chance.... all in all guys, I seriously like the wheel, yes the cost was hard for me to take, but I can now see what you guys who have the wheels were saying all along....these wheel speed up the whole proces!!!!

And of course a pic for my chains grinding friends!!!!
