This is a cheap (not nasty) non permanent way of setting up a grinder outside that is perfect height for me. I was going g to make a stand out of an outside umbrella base/stand but this works so well I just keep using it. 1X stepladder 2Xirwin quickgrips.

May have posted this before, This mount is height adjustable, and requires no drilling of the ladder (let's me use other peoples' ladders too). Clamps with a couple of 'J'bolts and wing nuts, and a wooden cleat cut to fit underneath. Pretty stable, and portable. Flat base clamps to a table too.

Well, I tried my CBN for the first time. I like it so far. The side of the cutter looks good, though it feels like its got some tiny burs, don't know if thats normal, the top plate angle looks good and the side plate cleaned up nice with the wheel. Gullet looked nice as well. I dont have an adjustable side plate angle so that made me happy. And it is sharp as hell. I like the fact that I don't have to dress the wheel after each sharpening even. All in all, I like it. I took some pics but the didn't turn out because of lighting and my ipad is not the best to take pics. I'll try my phone.

Awesome, love the drawer glides. Thank you. One of my grinders is very heavy and I'm worried that I will eventually drop it. But I'll look into the drawer slides and see if it will support the weight.
Excellent idea and thank you very much.
Lowes sells some very heavy duty drawer slides. We have used them to make slide out tool shelves for bench grinders with different wheels/buffs.

Dang it, I literally just left there, if it wasn't pouring to rain, I would go back.
I'm trying to make a spray can holder.

That's pretty slick. You all must be getting what we got last night/this morning. The 24" ones are what we have. I think they hold 100 lbs per set. Should be plenty. We keep the bench grinders in there mounted on square tubing. We pull them out and slide in a bigger tube "socket". It keeps them out of the way when we dont need them. They make real heavy ones up to 500 pounds, but these are holding up well.

Also, didn't mean to leave you hanging on the bar/chain. My boss purchased a 32" from a local dealer. I will definately keep you in mind if I purchase any.

Finally put my 520 together and have it mounted temporarily. Once I get the hang of it, I think it will be nice not to have to hand file everything and trash rocked chains. No one around here sharpens chains.

That's nice. See how it sticks out some. I just wanna be able to slide it back out of the way

i googled it and seen that. Went to lowes. They have some plywood cut at 2'x24" I'm gonna use. Should give me 4 shelves. A person could use the other side for whatever, but I think I need both for cans. If not. I'll use the other side for grinding wheels

That is a little aggravating. Especially in a small space. I think I am going to mount ours similar to our bench grinders as soon as I have time. I can store it when not needed and then slide it in when I do. It is mounted way to low right now. We were sharpening chains from the Gatlinburg clean up and I had to get it mounted and chains sharpened.
