I work on more huskys just because their is more in service because of box stores and the pro huskys are a bit cheaper than stihl but i like stihl and have several but prefer echo anymore.

I like Husky/Jonsered better, but I enjoy running my 034s. I could be happy cutting with either brand.

I am a Husqvarna dealer and I know I am going to catch some FLAC for this, personally I prefer working on/servicing Husqvarnas and their parts are much more reasonable, they are faster out of the box, and handle better. All that being said Stihls are more rugged and will tolerate neglect better, period. Owning a Husqvarna is kind of like owning a Ferrari, they are fast and they are fun but you are going to have to do maintenance on them regularly to keep them running at their best. A Stihl is kind of like a Camaro with a SBC under the hood, not quite as fast and not quite as agile but they run forever with little to no maintenance.

Well put

For those with a good dealer either are fine, those without a good dealer the best choice is the company that is the easiest to work with. One that you can buy parts over the internet, one that openly offers information like manuals and parts list, one you can buy tools for over the internet, one you can buy saws over the internet, one that doesn't sick a team of corporate lawyers after a fella that bad talks their product over the internet. One that lists a MSRP on their web page. The one that does not treat everything they do like some kind of sicko secret society. You know that one.
Edit: The one that does not force competitors racing "other" branded saws to remove the labels from the power head and run their brand of bar on the saw, at an event they help sponsor. After the race was over you didn't have to ask why, with the beating they took, the general public knew no different though.
