I've had both but the huskies get to stay and the stihls get passed on.

Wouldn't really say ones a whole lot better than the other I just like the feel of the huskies.

I repair plenty of Stihls and I have been impressed with some of them.

I prefer Stihl, which is unfortunate, as most of the Stihl dealers around here suck & the Husky dealer is great!

I hate paying the prices we have to pay for either Stihl, or Husky compared to the US.

I buy husqys they aren't better I like them only because that's the first good saw I ever ran They both have their winners Both tough as nails on their good models that's all I really have. One isn't really better than the other. I just like the wacky bent handle

Currently a Makita...
All my cordless stuff is Makita.
However, I'll not be buying a Makita saw. Even if I had no other objections to them, which I do, the color alone prevents me from buying one. FUGLY!

I wouldn't turn one down. I personally think the color is pretty cool. Not going to go hunting any down, but I certainly wouldn't turn my nose up at one. It would definitely stand out as different in the woods if you were cutting with friends. Kind of reminds me of the old Homelites.
