Great pics and wise feedback.
I read seeminly a zillion reviews, watched tons of Youtube, researched ballistics, and did my own field testing.
My conclusions are mighty close to yours:
HST 124, 124+P, 147, 147+P are Crazy great and dependable.
I'm a big fan of Speer Gold Dots 124 +P & 147 grain. Buffalo Bore, Golden Sabers Bonded +P, and this little fellow pictured below is NO JOKE!

We all have certain ammo/firearm pet peeves.
Here is one of mine: Ammo for sale with no point of reference concerning its ballistic or chronograph results!!
I know overall many are close, yet many are not close at all.
I wanted to ask you guys for any potential info concerning these two particular ammo offerings:

1.) SAA -9mm 124 Grain GDHP Nickel-Brass Cased - SAA Personal Protection JHP. It uses a Speer GD bullet. Here is all the customer service rep said, "It's loaded to standard SAAMI spec pressure, not +P or hotter. I do not have chrono data from production otherwise!"

2. 9mm Luger +P 124 Grain Di-Cut Jacketed Hollow Point Black Dot Ammo By IMI of Israel 50 Round Box - 9mm Luger +P 124 Grain Di-Cut Jacketed Hollow Point Black Dot Ammo By IMI of Israel | SGAmmo.com

Those IMIs look similar to the Black Talons. Also IMI makes a very close clone of the Mk262 loading so I would trust the load but want to see what the expanded projectile looks like.

The vcrown is 49.00 per box of 50
That's back to pre covid
Price here
I don't remember online if they were
Cheaper Before.
But it's no tax here now
So I'm happy with it.
The 124gr vrown is definitely near plus p
Or feels near that level.
I'm switching out my old golden sabre's
To it.

Thats a really good price on the Federals.

I sent the barrel for my new Taurus G3C to Doug Phillips (Doug Guy on the cast boolits forum) to have the leade reworked. It eats factory fmj fine but is pretty tight with everything else and I'm planning to feed it my 130 grain lead bullets.

Yep... that's about as low as I've seen them since the pandemic set in.
I did nab some Federal HST 147+P ammo for $39.99 for 50 rds about 3 months ago.
Bought 4 boxes...and they disappeared in about 45 minutes...over 2500 boxes!!!

Have you choreographed those 130-grain bullets/loaded hot?:flamethrower2:
Sounds like a solid game plan!

The bullets are from Arsenal Molds 358-130-RF, which can be used in .38's or 9's. I cast mine from air cooled range scrap and size to .357. I load them to 1.072 OAL over 3.8 grains Hodgdon HP-38 and a Winchester primer. They clock around 1040 out of my Glock 19, a bit less from the 26. They are accurate and easy to shoot, and fairly long for their caliber and weight so should penetrate well. The flat nose will expand some but not like a hollow point. Where I live, I am more likely to encounter a threat on four legs rather than two so accuracy and penetration are king and queen.

Man this is great info!
Sounds like you have it down to a science.
I understand what you mean with bullet needs dealing with 4 legged predators as opposed to two legged ones! LOL
I was thinking of that when I was on the Buffalo Bore site a while back.
They had many hard cast bullets loaded extra hot, that are supposedly a real threat to "lions, tigers, and bears" for real!
They had documented story of a 9mm hard cast ammo taking out a burley Grizzly!!
Do you load any JHP's?
