Bought some olives and feta cheese the other day from a local, imported goods store. They had a dozen or more types of olive oil. Waiting for the next update!

We bought some from the producers at the Ventura CA farmer's market in December. It had been pressed very recently. It is delicious stuff. Pretty neat to taste flavors and products we don't get very often.

In for updates. I hate to bump an old thread, but I just saw this one. Last year I bought an almond/olive shaker for the tractor to try it on smaller pecan trees. I haven’t had a chance to test it yet. Verdict is still out.
@AlfA01 very interested to see more pictures especially of harvesting.

Glad you did actually. We just finished pruning season and now the baby olives have set after blossoming.

I started using these last year. They work on a 24v generator and rotate like a random orbital sander. I’m not familiar with shakers or tractor attachments for harvesting. Most of our olives are too large for shakers and our slopes are pretty steep so utilizing machinery is limited by terrain.

Interesting! Maximum height you can reach?
Thanks for replying. We’re just beginning our pollinating season.
