Set them up the same 24 for the big trees and a 20 for smaller stuff my opinion is still that these are worth every penny of 220.00 a piece even if left a 365 with the option to step it up with a 372 topend I'm going to run the crap out of them when i get time the first one has near four gallons through it still holding together lol

Big difference in the metering springs, you can see the increase in wire thickness and pitch, plus it is longer.

Here's another trick you may want to try with that Walbro spring - shimming. You can put a small washer or two in the metering well for the spring and it will act like the spring is even longer.

I used to have a old tin can I would cut shims from, but there are washers small enough to drop into the well that are a lot easier to use.

Yeah, I just read that. That would mean he leaned out the low speed circuit.
It was what it needed tuned right in after the spring switch if i don't like it I've got a pile of carbs to choose from running good for now.

I'm a heat cycle guy on new saws or builds rebuilds etc. After starting i let them idle for a few minutes no surging idled perfectly after it cooled i ran it again and after heating it up i tuned it in wood once again no issues great throttle response and idles properly i don't know if it would help your problem.

Wouldn't help...on the am carbs the idle goes up and down with a mind of its own. ...drives me nuts. We shall see if perhaps a different spring helps. Haven't done one in a while ....so with this hutzl 372 build we shall build it stock. ...then see what happens.

The exact same saw as mine went from 315.00 which wasn't too bad of a deal to 385.00 on ebay with the same shipping time's as the one's i bought from aliexpress.
I think it's too close to oem money a nice used husky or jonsered can be had for that.8ii2wZp.jpg
