How is it possible that a new Stihl 201T costs $200 more than a new Echo 355T and $400 more than the used 355T that I bought last year that runs flawlessly today?

Nice!!! What did you think of that little 2511?
Its really sweet! I held one once before at the dealer. Had to put it down quick before i made bad decisions. It almost resembles a childs toy. Just amazing. My BIL started it and gave her a few lil revs, sounds peppy. I didnt get the full effect yet. He did take it out and do a lil break in/ testing today. I couldnt be there but the reports back wer "AWSOME" and
"VERY IMPRESSIVE" he also has a ms193t which i think hangs close to the 355t. So to hear those words makes me excited to try the lil fella.

I have so wanted to check out one but locally they would be order in and I can buy an MS150T for the same price from a dealer I work with all the time not someone I have to make a special trip too. I am going to need to bit the bullet and order one from down there...

Even then $300 is a steal, pretty sure most guys are around $379.

Alright I’m sure there’s an underlying joke to this,but I’ll bite! :b1:9A1E0715-A41D-4D7D-99B9-B597DB5C5BD8.jpeg28D2A198-D6DD-4D8F-B69E-70238349A23E.jpeg1AD53334-8E6D-4C28-9134-AF72495B3891.jpegB012BC8D-E8DB-49D3-8A0D-2EB8303FC759.jpeg
In all seriousness that filter was brand new to start and has one tree and 3/4 tank of fuel on it. Check out the little dust spot.

I think we'll be adding one to the inventory soon. We (Dad, a friend and I) were taking larger broken limbs (up to about 24") out of a tree line yesterday. All of them had a decent amount of brush to contend with and we wasted a bit of time waiting on whoever had the 201 to open up the small stuff, in order to get to the bigger stuff. When you're constantly cutting and throwing the brush out of your way to expose the firewood, it gets tedious. I think that the 2511 will make a dandy addition to the arsenal.

I do wish that I knew of someone locally with one, as I'd love to take a test drive first, but even at $400, you can't get hurt too' badly. If it doesn't work for my needs, no doubt I could recoup most of my investment on here.

Same reason a plastic 45cc MS250 costs $60.00 more here than a metal crankcase 50cc CS-490. Because people will pay it.

I really like this. Last month I bought a Husky 51 for $150 and added a top end. Total cost was less that $200. It pulls a 20" bar. Last week I buck cut 30 rounds of elm, avg. of 22" dia. apiece with it and noodle cut 18 of the rounds in half to make them easier to move to the splitter.

Imagine trying to do that with an MS250. I could have done the same with my Echo 5o0 EVL that runs flawlessly today. Oops! Sorry guys, this was supposed to be a top-handle thread. My error.

I'm no climber, arborist, or professional anything. I ran a MS200T for a while that was awesome, but my tendinitis got so bad I couldn't hardly run it anymore. I sold it, and now that my elbows are better, I sorely miss it. I demoed a 2511T Echo and was very impressed with it, especially for 25cc. I just can't justify it since it would sit most of the time.

This is my backup to the backup 200T.
