T
Here's 200ft
I bought #4 also never an issue but 4.5 seems to work better spooling up from small to large saws.
That's a good buy, ill never use that much the rest of my life. I was just going to replace the rope on the neotec, the joncutter 3800 and the 2500. HL sells it by the foot for 36 cents. I might try about 10' of a couple different sizes.

My 288 copy cat has been running like a top until tonight.
It won’t oil with a bar on it, lots of oil comes shooting out this brass orifice and little out the actual groove up top.
My other 288’s don’t have the brass orifice so I’m at a loss why it doesn’t oil with a b/c on it, 3 different bars all clean, put on proper.
Any ideas folks?

How is oiling if you try without bar?

@Hoser 288 oiler issues

Not sure what that brass plug in the photo is. Neither my OEM husky case or FT case have that.

Id check the oil output adjustment screw and make sure it's not in between one of the four settings.
Might have to pull the oil pump and check the Oring inside and make sure it's in good condition/not chewed up.
Inspect drive and driven gears make sure they're not stripped out.
Check to see if the oil line is seated/sealed against the case properly. Also inspect line for cracks and see if the oil filter is plugged.

That's where I would start anyway....someone else may have better insight.

I’m pretty sure it’s the tank vent, I don’t have one under the muffler like my OE ones.
So much for exact copy lol

Interesting drama. Truth?
Yes when he launched the neotec fb page he put that on all the chainsaw related pages i saw
I asked him for 288 full wraps and a 262xp clone
Didn't hear back from him.
I've only had the 2 neotecs the 372 farmacs
They really need to improve the cylinder quality and startup testing process since both were scored from the factory
With those poorly made cylinders with the very sharp intake rings on them.

From what I've seen I think the holzfformas are a little better than the neotec. However neotec customer service far exceeds Huztl.

A Farmer Tech 361 and Neotec 843
The 361 has had a few issues, though nothing major. The 843, minus cutting out the strato port gasket, has needed nothing so far.
Neither one has many "miles" on them.
They're both ported.
Two saws is a small sampling for comparison...but just my personal experience.

A clone 346xp would dominate the market I'd think
And i believe a 262xp would be successful
They have already covered the large displacement saws well.
Even a stihl ms290/310/390 clone would do well as popular as they still are.

I don't understand why nobody has cloned a 346 yet. They would sell like hotcakes.

I need another saw like I need another hole in my head but I would buy a 346 clone if the price was right. I think 75% of the forum guys would too.
Haha 😆 Yeah, same here.
I'd love to have a 346.

A lot of parts are interchangeable between 340,345,346,350,351,353 crank, tank, starter, etc.

OEM Husky 346P&C kits are $159 on Amazon currently.

If Neotec offered complete saws as well as individual parts a guy would have lots of options.
