I have a 395 clone and Husky 395. I broke the Chain tightener on the OEM when I started miling. So I slapped the clone in the mill. Been milling with it ever since and haven’t looked back. Sometimes it dosent want to idle real well but that is my only gripe.

I enjoy putting the kits together. My 1 year old LOVES chainsaws because he sees me putting them together.

I built 2 of the earlier kits. The 660 had a lot of issues. The 372 was much better. They were a good learning experience but doubt I will ever built another. I have way more saws than I will ever use but I will probably get a g395 at some point.

How do they sell them that cheap? Labor must be pennies on the hour.
One time like 8 year's ago
i was talking to a importer about the 372 clones way before holzfforma or Amazon, eBay had any complete 365/372 clones
He said cost per unit was less than 30.00 back then no idea now
But there must be a lot of profit to make such a variety of clones now or they would make them

I worked at a Harbor Freight for just under a year. In their older Counterpoint program, we could see the price lists, including the cost to the distributor from the factory. The $20 angle grinders were sold to the stores at something like $0.94/unit.

I had no idea the actual costs he just said don't bid over 30.00 each if i was buying multiple units
Because he could personally buy them and import them for under 60.00 per unit.
He was just a importer he had no involvement with the manufacturers.

Large part of the business model for farmertec is being a parts supplier, worldwide, for the saws. Husky 288 is still in production in Brazil. Been gone for 20 years here in NA. To many users, the price of OEM parts make repairing a saw prohibitive. We all experienced this several years back when we started messing with top end kits. $120 carb or a $12 carb? Have an accident and need a fuel tank? Even with some doubts, at these prices it's often worth a shot.

You have a couple other neotecs, right? How do they compare to the holzfforma?
I have a Neotec 660 but I don't know how it compares to the Farmertec 660. It ran good but I found a cheap OEM cylinder and put that on it.

Edit: I was thinking about my 660 kit saw, I put a big bore on it but I don't think it's worth putting the bigger cylinder on it.

My 30$ JonCutter G5800 is arriving somewhere next week.
Is there some kind of To-Do list for these?
It is my first clone saw.
Tightening cylinder and muffler bolts
Greasing clutch bearing
Checking air filter mounting
Modifying muffler for less restriction
Squish measuring and perhaps gasket delete
Adjusting L, H and T if needed

These I had in mind but something else?
It will get a bigger carb sooner or later and if I happen to see good gain porting tips then those will be next

OK, was just over on Amazon. Found another supplier of 365/372 clones. Kind of hard to figure out the brand. Zoomed up one of the pics and it looked like HNSAVQUA on the started decal. Let that roll off your tongue. 😀

The 365 is priced $109 and the "Orange72" at $115. Same supplier makes a bunch of those generic 52 and 58cc saws in various colors. A "Red2" 52cc saw is $45. And it looks like they all come with Bars and chains at those prices. Only common word with these saws is "Powful". Abrievation for powerful?

I can't get my phone to copy a link, so I'll leave that to you more tech savvy guys to do. Have fun!
