I think they only make the laminated ones in VA?

All of the RSN Stihl bars I've owned, either say made Germany or made in Brazil on them.
I think you are correct. Stihl has plants in 7 countries. I read about it on stihl corporate website once. Can't remember what all was made where, I do remember most of their cylinders are made in the Brazil plant.

I always wait for a sale or deal from one of the guys on here for stihl bars. I have to admit that the stihl es light bar is the finest/ lightest bar I've ever used. Only the old Windsor speed tip is as durable and the weight is profound.
The bulk of Chinese made bars I've used wear out way to quickly for me.
I'll be interested to see how the new crop of contenders are in the wear department?
My favorites are the tsumura i have a couple dozen dating back to the 80s
I have a lot of windsor that have been excellent
Never ran sugihara too expensive
I like Oregon more now they used to be floppy bastard's past 20"
Now i get good use out of them
Those cheap versacuts have held up the past 4 year's
I don't bore cut guy's say that ruins tsumura and the versacuts.

I wonder how many guy's will buy these thinking they are going to swing it around all day
They are damn heavy I've never got one in that had a lot of run time on it
They just set in the truck
I usually do carb kits and fuel lines on them

The 390 with a 42" is heavy enough as is. I'd be struggling with an extra 10+ pounds.

Got me a gu 288 in kit form put it all together everything seems too fit well apart from the top cover
Got it running pull cord was too short so lengthened the rope
Plenty of power tuned it in then it died the low side of the carb is ok it’ll tick over all day
Was going to try a good 281 carb I’ve got here do you all think good idea

Also it oils like hell have turned it right down31B39B47-AF8D-4F81-99E8-472CA9C0FD83.jpeg0ACC52FA-AD5B-447B-9262-A5D4FCAA37C6.jpegB5E111D1-8384-4BE7-9857-0E82F2194C5C.jpeg

Only people who EVER bought 3120's were the larger (multiple crews) tree companies who wanted one just in case they needed it. They were rarely ever used. Guys didn't like running them. Only time a 3120 would generate a smile was at GTG's where reality was seldom in play.
